A command from Jesus

Did you know that 80% of people in the world live on less than $10.00 a day? Or that 21,000 children died today because of poverty? Sometimes we take the things we have for granted... like food, water, a house... or extra things like cars, cellphones, and even electricity. Kids in places like Haiti, Iraq, Uganda, and even big cities like Nashville are praying right now that they might find enough food to live another day. If everyone in the world just gave a little bit to help these people, there would be no more poverty. If our government used 1% of the money they spent on weapons and gave it to help children in need, every child in the world could get enough education to get them a job and out of poverty. Jesus never asked us to help them- He commanded us. If you ask Jesus "If You really love all people, why is there poverty?" He will answer "What have you done to prevent it? Everything you own is a gift from me to them; I simply gave you the honor of being the donor."

"And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward." -Matthew 10:42
