McKayla and I just sponsored a little girl from the Philippines! Her name is Kesha, and she is 11 years old. She's been waiting about a year if not more for a sponsor. The money we give her will provide her with food, clean water, the ability to go to school, school supplies, field trips, medical care, and, most importantly, the ability to learn about Jesus and read the Bible. We love her already- through the program, Compassion, we can e-mail her, write letters, and send gifts and pictures. She is a very sweet little girl- she loves animals and playing music, and one of her favorite things to do is tell stories. She lives in a family of 2 children, with parents who are sometimes employed and when they are they work as laborers. There are about 2,000 more children in Compassion waiting for sponsors. Some of them are orphans, some are sick or dying, some are disabled, some work in rock quarries or trash dumps, some live on the streets with drug-addicts and drunks, most of them are starving and thirsty, and all of them need your help. God gave us everything we have, this country, the money and food and things, so we can give it to these children. They are waiting, and every day that we don't do something thousands more of them die. It's only $38.00 dollars a month. These kids need someone or they will die in the darkness they were born into without ever knowing what love is. Many of them die without ever seeing the light of a better future. All they can see now is darkness, evil, and death, and many of them have no mother or father to cling to. But you can be that mother or father. Let the little ones run into your open arms and be saved. You can be the light in their dark life. You're online right now, you can spare five minutes and go to http://www.compassion.com/ and save a little one's life.
